The purpose of referees is to moderate and score scrims and other events fairly. They also orchestrate the entire scrimmage to make sure it goes smooth. Referees are required to have lots of patience and at the same time be fast with their calls. It is important as a referee to be transparent and make fair calls. Referees can make many calls on players for reasons that include but are not limited to: Disrespect (of any sort), Cheating, Hacking, unsportsmanlike conduct, etc. A referee may accuse anyone of hacking so long as they have probable cause to do so, they can henceforth remove that player from the ongoing scrimmage and open an investigation. If it's proven that the person is cheating or hacking the accused team will loose that scrimmage and the other team will be compensated.
